A Message From Kamryn

Here at TASER's Top Paw, we strive to train at your canine's comfort level. We offer in-home training, where most canines spend the majority of their time. This provides quality reassurance that we are seeing them at the least stressful level. This helps to aide in the training process so that we can fully ask them the command that needs preformed. A canine who is stressed is often harder to communicate with. Signs of stress and body behavior is thoroughly pointed out during each lesson. Therefore, owners will know more intellect on how to read their canine. It is important to remember no dog is trained the same as another. No canvas paints the same, but we can still achieve a Class A canine!

Kamryn Szymanski

Hello! My name is Kamryn and I'm the sole owner and head trainer at TASER's Top Paw. I am originally from a small town in southern Illinois, about twenty-five minutes outside St. Louis. At 18, I decided to launch a business in hopes to help end toxic stigmas in the dog industry.

I believe in a lot of things that are deemed toxic in the dog world. I believe balanced training is useful if done right. I believe genetics play a huge role in dog behavior. I believe that not every dog can be rescued, and not every family should own a “rescue” dog. I believe that adopting is still shopping. I believe that most people know very little about their dog’s body behavior and language.

What I don’t believe in is the fact that there are “perfect” dogs out there. I don’t believe in catering to your dog. I don’t believe every dog should be roam free. I don’t believe in dogs never having to be in a crate. I don’t believe reactive dogs are bad dogs. I don’t believe that “mutts” are deemed any less trainable than a pure bred.

At the end of the day, we all have an opinion. I started this crazy journey with every intention to open the eyes of dog owners, and to help them understand everything there is to know. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t trade what I do for anything else. I’m happy you’re here, and I would love to help each and every one of you!
